I have now done all four parts

After I posted my animation on my blog there was several comments off people with different opinions about my idea, a lot of the comments say that it is creative, flows well and was put together well. There is a comment which says 'you made good use of the items that I guess were easily available to you' which is what I was going for, so I am glad that some people picked up on this.

Also on several of the comments there is regards to the busy and moving background, this would be one of the things that I would defiantly have to change if I were to do this again. At the time I decided to film this which was during a lesson I had very little control over what was going on in the background. But if I were to do this project again I would probably do something similar like the stop motion animation but I would ensure that I had an empty room to film in and would also include other people and some more interesting props in my animation.

There were some comments that regarded my music choice suiting my movie style, I think that because it is a silly, happy sort of animation the banjo music suited it very well. I thought that maybe I would have control over the music and how it fitted and suited the animation if I created my own using audio software such as garage band. I think because the visual and audio side of my next animation would be completely my own work it would make it a lot better and would be a lot more entertaining for me to make and also for people to watch.

Overall I think that this project didn't go as good as it could have but I think that what I have produced is a reflection of the time that I spent on the project. It was fun to make and also fun to edit, and on the whole I am happy with how it turned out.

I created this by using single pictures and joining them together to give the effect of a slow moving video. I done this using iStop motion and added the titles and credits using iMovie. The few preparations I had caried out for this short film was the creation of the paper hat featured in the film, carry out research about short animations to get inspiration and also to try and find some interesting and unusual animation techniques.

The idea for this animation came about when I was looking through short animations on Youtube and came across someone who changed hats and other pieces of clothing and this is where I got my inspiration from to make my animation like this,

Cut Out Animation

Cut Out Animation

This is a pretty weird cut out animation and tells the story of a girl who wakes up, pulls off someone's head, sleeps with someone who has climbed into her house through the window and then he burned down the house and left her homeless.

This character in my friends mouth is the main character in our cut out animation and the other items in the shot are props that we are using in the animation, (flippers, a fridge, a handbag and a sofa).

This lesson I have started to make the backgrounds of my animation.

Final Product - Ben Hale did not help much
